(disclaimer, I am an American white girl and I claim to know little of Korean Culture. Here are the top 7 things you need to know before you watch your first Korean Drama. (Or kdramas as we fangirls like to call them.)

Webtoons That Already Have a Drama Adaptation: This list is incomplete. I am not the only one having difficulty with this. (I had to choose this picture, because I can’t decide which ship I’m on. But personally, I would LOVE to see works as a kdrama. Make this a kdrama already!) …to name a few.
Webtoons I Wish Were Kdramas: There are other webtoons that I would love to have a kdrama adaptation: Winter Woods, Where Tangents Meet, Siren’s Lament, Imitation (Imitation is about kpop idols. I am looking forward to the adaption and crossing my fingers that it is done well. A marriage that was arranged by their grandfathers when they were children. It’s about a marriage between a shy girl raised in a very traditional household and a celebrity. What if they mess it up? What if they leave out the best parts?Ĭat & Dog: Later this year, another webtoon that I enjoy reading ( Cat & Dog) is scheduled to be adapted as a kdrama, tentatively titled Mermaid’s Prince. It’s always exciting to see a book, manga, or webtoon converted to the small screen. I love to read, and I read several Webtoons (on the Webtoon & Spottoon apps).
